About mogul indian restaurant
Situated in the historic centre of Greenwich, mogul indian is a well-established Indian restaurant that is extremely popular with locals. The menu comprises a mix of modern and traditional dishes, and is renowned for its authentic North Indian cuisine. Split over three levels, there is a first floor bar, which is the perfect place to meet friends for a pre-dinner drink, and to relax afterwards with a digestif. The ground floor restaurant is light and airy, with a buzzy atmosphere, while the Mogul’s basement restaurant provides a cosy and romantic ambience, with its atmospheric alcoves and dimmed lighting. We love the chicken makhani murgh - chicken cooked on the bone in the tandoor, deboned and cooked in a sauce of butter, creamed tomatoes and spices.

The Mogul in Greenwich is a nice restaurant and the food was served quickly and was nice, however, I did get the impression that they were trying to move us on in favour of the next customer (there was a queue at the bar downstairs).
My first visit for some years, but still good food in the atmospheric downstairs cave-like space. Service was slow: this was acceptable in the circumstances, but could have been inconvenient. Oh and the loo is up two flights of stairs, so definitely not one for the disabled!
Good food as usual... I had the mixed grill, and will have it again. Glad to see that the tables have finally been stripped of their sticky varnish and are now acceptable for use in a restaurant. The message got through eventually!
This was my first time at Mogul, we usually go to the Gurkha. The food was lovely, really really good quality, and a great selection of wine, but the lights were too bright, and we nearly choked when we got the bill and it was £75!! This was definately the most expensive Indian restaurant we have ever been to. We even shared a starter and didnt have desert. Was lovely, but we dont think it was worth the price.
Food was very nice - everyone commented how 'light' and tasty the curries were, by that it was meant that with some curries the sauce can be very filling - it wasn't the case here. The naan breads were also very light but still tasty. Certainly a nice change from the usual curry. The Mongoose beer was fantastic and refreshing. A great accompaniment My only real gripe is with the poppadom accompaniments - no onion! Gutted. Coconut rice would be a request too.
