Sartaj and its Midlands chef pride themselves on being a Balti house as opposed to your bog standard Indian restaurant. Everything is slowly cooked to perfection in iron woks and delivered to your table as such. The setting is intimate, small and modern with none of your dodgy 70s decor or hideous wall-hangings. There is the obligatory fish tank for fans of Indian restaurant old-skool style. We like this place.
