Renoir Café
About Renoir Café
Renoir Café has been at the centre of London’s Kentish Town community for years, a café and restaurant where locals find a blend of unpretentious comfort and consistently good food. The interior of Renoir is very much in keeping with the restaurant’s name, its continental styling, collection of art and pavement dining area bringing to mind the turn of the century Paris of the celebrated impressionist’s era. During the day, Renoir café is a buzzing bolthole for freelancers hooked up to the free wifi and yummy mummies treating themselves to a coffee and pastry after the school run. In the evening however, Renoir Café takes on a more romantic, restaurant vibe, serving delicious homemade and healthy European Mediterranean classics including much celebrated steaks and dishes featuring high quality deli ingredients. While barista quality coffees and super fresh juices are the star of the show during the day, later on the focus is on hand-crafted cocktails.

Kentish Town’s Renoir café is a cafe each and every London high street should have - surrounded by the normal ubiquitous coffee chains it's individuality, quality and cheer make it shine through as the place to go. Lovely stuff all round.
Where better to enjoy Shrove Tuesday than at Kentish Town's Renoir Cafe with its huge selection of savoury and sweet crepes. Five of us, two regulars and three first-timers to Renoir, enjoyed a delicious if somewhat unbalanced dinner of pancakes followed by pancakes .... (our choice - the usual range of a la carte and set menu dishes was also on offer). Service was as ever very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.
We had lunch at Cafe Renoir, Kentish Town, at the end of December. I'm a frequent visitor to this popular local cafe/bistro, which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It has a pleasant French-style ambience (paintings in the style of Renoir on the walls, French snacks such as Croque Monsieur and crepes). The main dishes are usually too filling to do justice to the selection of pastries and sweet crepes. Prices are very reasonable and service always prompt and friendly.
I was worried that when Kentish Town's Renoir cafe closed for a refit/refurb that the cosy but chic, informal but interesting vibe may disappear (along with the great omelettes, sandwiches and cakes) - BUT no need to despair it even better than before. This is what healthy should taste like!
