Bar Gansa

About Bar Gansa

The team at Bar Gansa in London’s forever fashionable Camden Town have channelled Spanish city chic to create a tapas bar restaurant that really couldn’t feel more authentic if it tried. Be transported to the back streets and hidden squares of Barcelona, Madrid and Valencia where food is a joy and dining is done with friends, an abundance of flavourful, rustic dishes shared while good sangria is sipped and conversation flows. Bar Gansa is all about being social, the food only one aspect of the fun, leading to sampling the signature cocktails to a soundtrack of often live Spanish music and on a Monday - when the weekend, by rights, should be but a distant memory – an urge to dance as live Flamenco begins. A vibrant setting with a red and yellow colour scheme, bull fighting murals and touches of terracotta, Bar Gansa invites you to linger over food, bringing together tapas and larger main menu dishes created with authenticity in mind using typically Hispanic ingredients and served throughout the day, from breakfast until late.

Bar Gansa is a brilliant, authentic tapas venue. The atmosphere is really cool, but there's nothing pretentious about it. Reasonably priced food, with fairly big portions and great cocktails - highly recommend this tapas venue.

great evening with friends for pre-Christmas meet up. good venue for some atmosphere and buzz while still able to hear each other talk. various rounds of tapas - some more successful than others - but overall was good. particularly recommend the chickpeas with spinach. plus the chorizo and spanish omelette. not enough staff on duty so service was slow at time but through no fault of the hard working pair who were there. toilets up very steep stairs - wouldn't suit people with mobility problems.
