About Chutney Mary

Chutney Mary is unique. It serves unusual Indian dishes from six different regions of India (not just one or two), prepared by a team of master chefs, each a specialist in his own cuisine. The most fashionable Indian restaurant in town and twice voted top Indian restaurant in Great Britain.

Toptable says about Chutney Mary

This elegant Indian restaurant has been satisfying the curry cravings of diners from Chelsea and beyond for years. The opulent interior combines rich jewel colours, teak panelling and Moghul-style mirrored murals to create a romantic and enchanting space. Like its sister restaurants, Amaya and Veeraswamy, Chutney Mary attracts a well-dressed foodie crowd and the slick service makes it ideal for business lunches and dinner dates. The menu combines traditional recipes with contemporary food trends in India so guests are guaranteed a meal that is full of authentic flavours. Popular dishes include the Goan green chicken curry; the fragrant lamb pasanda; and the fresh lobster served two ways. With plenty of vegetarian options and a carefully compiled wine list, you can't help but be impressed by this Chelsea gem.

Very interesting and tasty food at Chutney Marys and excellent value with the Toptable deal. Even on the lset 3 course menu the dishes on offer were different from the norm - will have to try the a la carte at some time! Service was attentaive however a bit on the relaxed side but not an issue for us as we were not in a hurry. Good choice of wines

Chutney Mary's has always been a great Indian to have on the doorstep. But I was really disappointed yesterday. The toptable menu only had 2 choices for starters and 3 choices for main course. Very limited and we tried the a la carte instead. The service was terrible - the wine took ages, the water didn't arrive until halfway through the main course and our poppadums were left uneaten as they turned up after an hour when the mains were served. Unimpressed this time but have loved in the past...

The taster menu is delicious, though at £45 is a bit expensive when you add wine on top. Been twice now and the food & service are always exceptional.

11 of us had decent food, without being in any way impressed. Laughably overpriced. Service was fine and ambience pleasant, but based on earlier comments on disparity between quality and cost, I could not recommend.

Chutney Mary was excellent. Tandoori chicken is the best ever. Will make a habit of this!
