About Iznik
Praise has been lavished on Iznik Restaurant in London’s Islington. Indeed, The Guardian calls it ‘the best all round Turkish restaurant in London,’ while GQ refers to it as ‘a true Turkish delight’. It’s easy to see why the critics are in such raptures over Iznik, not only is the interior a fantastical voyage in to the East, complete with low hanging lanterns, warm desert tones and aged artefacts galore but its food is equally authentic too. Since 1989, the Iznik kitchen has poured heart and soul in to its cookery, seeking out and preparing dishes that most realistically speak of both the Ottoman Empire and modern day Turkey alike.

Good service, excellent food
A great venue. Really tasty food for a great price. Laid back atmosphere. Would dfefinitely go again.

Iznik was a great night out - lovely food, atmosphere and service. Our courses were delicious and plentiful.
The food at Iznik in Highbury was generally very good - two us tried vegetarian main courses which were pronounced excellent and well-flavoured, and the meat-eaters were happy too. Service was fine and the restaurant was fairly full so the atmosphere was good. Would agree with a previous reviewer that the music became slightly oppressive later in the evening - not so much the overall volume as the throbbing bass which slightly spoiled the ambience.
