The roof gardens in kensington provides fantastic service, amazing food, plenty of choice on the set menu and the staff definitely made us feel as welcome as the a la carte diners. Wonderful jazz on the tuesday night when we went and the gardens were even open to look around despite it being 10pm by the time we left! Only down side is the very pricey drinks, but it was a very minor downside to a amazing evening.

I dined at Babylon at The Roof Gardens on a January evening. However, spring or summer would be a better time to visit the venue, when the gardens can be fully-appreciated. Live music created an enjoyable atmosphere, and the food was of a good standard, though a little over-priced.

Had the set lunch at Babylon at the Roof Gardens yesterday just off Kensington High Street. This is very good value and offers a good choice of courses. The ambiance at Babylon is always excellent and the service is attentive without being overpowering. The view from the restaurant is at its best at this time of the year with no leaves on the trees in the Roof Garden. A very pleasant place to lunch.

Unfortunately our experience at the roof gardens was tarnished. We had ordered our food and drinks and were half way through eating bread when we were told we would have to move as they had messed up the table plan. We were moved from a good table to a souless room in the back of the restaurant near the kitchen! Starters were lovely, however when our main courses arrived they were stone cold and the steak was undercooked and had to be returned. Dessert was amazing. Attentive staff but overpriced
