Ruby Grand

Located between Hammersmith and Chiswick, Ruby Grand appears to be a pub that has recently been made over. The decor is pleasant and the lunchtime food was quite acceptable so we were rather surprised it was so empty on a Tuesday lunchtime. The daily lunch specials priced at £5 looked good value (fish and chips/ratatouille and one other) however we went for main courses of butternut squash and goat's cheese salad (deliciously healthy) and Indian skewers. These were mildly spiced and plentiful

Looked slightly confused initially whwn I said I'd booked through top table but then quickly found our booking. First table we sat at was wobbly but they were more than happy for us to move. Food was good smart pub grub - we both had the tasty sausages with very smooth creamy mash. The place is tastefully decorated and has a nice feel to it. We would definately go back

Very attractive space and decoration be it in the garden during the summer or indoors at other times. Food can be hit and miss but was very good on this visit. Staff are always very friendly. Will return more frequently if recent improvements in the kitchen are maintained.
