Escape from the realities of London life with a trip to Clapham’s Souk bar and restaurant. A totally unique neighbourhood venue, Souk cleverly blends food, drink and music giving each equal billing to produce an experience that is totally relaxed and enjoyable. Sensuous surroundings with – as you might have guessed – a glorious Eastern vibe greet guests to Souk. Low bench seating is scattered with silk cushions, the room is lit with low hanging metal lanterns and drinks are rested on tin-topped tables. Music is central to the Souk experience with resident and guest DJs bringing the best soulful, funky world sounds to the table with a policy encompassing house, electro and minimal techno. Equal attention to detail has gone in to the offerings from Souk’s bar and kitchen, the cocktail list including classics as well as new creations made with fresh fruit, top brand name and boutique spirits and great care too, while the menu combines Eastern flavours with a Western twist, numerous dishes designed to be shared.

So.Uk Clapham. Nice food. Pity about the service. 1 hour for our starters..... polite bar staff and waiters though
This is not a restaurant, it is a bar with some surprisingly good food! Great service and fantastic with the 50% off! Our wine was on a promotion so worth asking before ordering as to which wine is on offer or cocktails! The leaf wrapped beef was fab!
SO.UK has a very nice feel when you walk in, with a sort of eastern/Thai look, very modern with dark woods, leather sofa, good lighting etc. The food menu is small, which is not a problem, but then to be told some of the items were not available, make the menu tiny!! The biggest problem with SO.UK was the service & to be fair I think it was our waitress, as the bar staff were much more a attentive. After we had finished our food & relaxed with a few cocktails, The atmosphere was good,
Souk Clapham was a lovely chilled out place with attentive and friendly staff and delicious food. Portions a little on the small side but that might be down to sheer greed on my part. Would definitely go again :)
Not many other people were there when we arrived Thu evening, but the place got busier a bit later. The waitress was friendly, food was good and with the 50% off deal it was really good value.
