Toptable says about Lost Society

Clapham's destination venue Lost Society can't have failed to capture your attention and your imagination. Possibly Britain's most glamorous barn conversion, Lost Society offers two levels of sheer indulgence. Crystal chandeliers drip from the ceiling, an eclectic collection of gloriously barmy knick knacks line shelves - from gramophones to bird cages - and South West London's most gorgeous folk prop up the bar, champers in hands. When it comes to the restaurant expect to find '40s gentlemen's club meets lady's boudoir, the perfect accompaniment to a menu of innovative world food to excite the senses and impress even the most jaded palatte.

A brilliant meal in a lovely part of Lost Society I didn't know existed. Almost like a private dining room it is so small and perfect and would be amazing to hire all the tables for a private meal. The food was really excellent quality. I sound surprised and I was - I always think of Lost Society as a cocktail bar with a dance floor - not a fine dining restaurant. Only one small problem is that the wines by the glass are not great.

Lost Soceity was great, you always need to book and there are often queues at the bar but worth the wait as the cocktails are amazing. The bar staff are all very friendly and happy to give advice. The food was very good although with the second sitting we couldn't have the pheasent as this had run out, but the lamb was doner very well. Great value for money, took some friends who were visiting and they loved the whole atmosphere. The only problem was the toilets - only 3 ladiesfor the whole bar!

The Lost Society was a good venue to meet freinds for a cocktail or two and dinner. The cocktails were lovely as was the food, but the scallops starter was a bit mean, one scallop sliced in half...

The mains and desserts were lovely. Being rather full after dinner we decided to go on somewhere quieter for another drink rather than move to the busy bar areas.

Great meal in Lost Society, food was excellent, and very friendly service. Restaurant felt a little squished, but general noise meant you didn't feel overlooked. All in all, I would recommend.

We booked Lost Society as it looked like a reasonable priced meal but upon arrival, we were told it was a 2 course menu for £17.50 plus you needed to pay an extra supplement for four out of the six main courses (some were an extra £4 on top).

The food was nice but overpriced for what it was (£6 for the smallest piece of duck and a couple of lettuce leaves!)

If you have money to burn, Lost Society is worth going to. For normal people on a night out, it's far too expensive for what it is.
