From the makers of The Great Eastern Dining Rooms in Hoxton comes this 'fusion' of Eastern and Oriental (apparently it’s not the same thing). Cocktails, chi-chi design and very populat with the 'in crowd'. Everything's on the wrong side of expensive but if you’re just having a snack with your Cosmopolitan, individual Dim Sum isn’t too expensive. Gets hyper busy in the dining room so you’ll need to book at least a week ahead.

This Notting Hill hot spot is about the best - certainly the trendiest - of a notable neighbourhood. The Eastern & Oriental's fusion fare usually starts with an Asian base, and then pirouettes into something resembling Pacific Rim cuisine. The decor is stark but you'd better appreciate it at lunch because the evenings are mental. You can dim sum at the bar.
