Rodizio Rico

About Rodizio Rico

South American spice comes to London’s very British Bayswater thanks to the Rodizio Rico restaurant. Inspired by the traditional churrascarias frequented by Southern Brazil’s gauchos – that’s cowboys, for the uninitiated – Rodizio Rico is based around barbeque style food grilled on wood fire and carved at your table to order. The gloriously light dining room with its large windows is almost entirely decked out in bare wood, from the high arched beams above to the stripped back flooring below, making for a cosy, warm and relaxed space well matched to the authentically Brazilian buzz that fills the space and on Saturday nights live music and dancers add a carnival atmosphere to proceedings. Though something of a food heaven for the dedicated carnivore, Rodizio Rico doesn’t forsake vegetarianism entirely, providing a very well thought out range of meat-free dishes as well as the classic grilled meats and classic Brazilian side dishes.

This was the first time I have been to this branch of Rodizio Rico in Westbourne Grove. it was family friendly, as one of our party had a baby in a push chair. However , it was smaller than other branches so the seating was quite constrained. Unlike other branches the option providing well done meat to the more squeamish was not readily available, which was disappointing. The side dishes went down well.

Rodizio Rico in Bayswater is terrific as a casual dinner venue with great quality food. The meat - main reason you would come here - is cooked to perfection and there is definitely no shortage of different cuts and selections (beef, chicken, pork etc). The self-serve salad section has an excellent variety and could be eaten alone if there were any non-meat eaters in your party. There is also a great selection of wines on the menu to suit all budgets. I would definitely recommend this venue.

Great value and great if your partner is on a protein diet. The meat is cook well and a variety ofsalad and hot veggie options. Service, can be sometimes slow and the tables are so packly put together, that you are little too close to the other tables. Prefer the O2 venue, but still recommended.
