1st visit for lunch, quaint little place, off the beaten track slightly, but a nice little find. The hotel itself is very nice & good service, the chosen food was lovely, slow cooked pork belly with calvados apples was fab, so we're the scallops & choc creme brûlée! All gluten free as requested, & brought me gluten free bread without prompting. Was very quiet when we were there, but soon livened up when a posh girls hen party showed up! Slight criticism is the service could have been friendlier
The menu offers 3 different starters, 3 mains and 3 puddings. The food was really delitious! Salmon was really fresh and cooked to perfection so it would be crispy on the outside and the inside would melt in you mouth. Chicken exactly the same crispy and tender at the same time. Starters also very nice, specially the fish cake. With 3 pints of beer and 2 coffees, total bill was 70 pounds. Very good value! Place and atmosphere are very nice too! We stayed there talking for a long time afterdinner

An excellent meal in opulent surroundings. Service was professional but very attentive and the food was very good. The restaurant was very quiet when we went (mid week 7pm) which was nice for this part of town. Drinks afterwards in the bar were expensive but worth every penny.
