The Attab Haddad Quintet plays Haddad’s original compositions drawing on Middle Eastern music, Flamenco, jazz and contemporary composed music, creating a sound that is unique to the band, where deep resonances from oud, cello and bass are balanced by fanciful flute and delicate percussion sounds, where rhapsodic melodic structures delight in unexpected twists and turns whilst being rooted in a great tune, where a tight compositional approach is cloaked in a sense of jazz-like freedom. Joining Attab on this special evening are special guests Azerbaijani violinist Sabina Rakcheyeva, flamenco guitarist Ramon Ruiz and acclaimed jazz pianist Kit Downes.
