About Cilicia
By day, Cilicia is a smiley, come-in-as-you-are café serving (all day) big breakfasts - the full English (veggie version) features grilled halloumi – and lunches. Then at 5pm sharp, it changes into a cosy restaurant serving unpretentious Mediterranean grills, seafood, mezes, casseroles and pide. Traditional desserts include baklava and sutlach, a kind of creamy rice pudding. The mix of orange-painted walls, bare brick, assorted artefacts and multi-coloured hanging lamps give the place a real warmth.

Food was lovely as usual at a very good price. Had the chicken burger and boyfriend had chicken in pitta. Both were very nice. However, when it came to paying, the card machine failed to connect and declined our cards, in which the waitress was insisting it was our card's fault and not the card machine. Yet when another machine was tried, it worked.
The service is lovely, the food is outstanding - my only issue is choosing my starter and main, everything is so tasty! A large table had taken all the Kleftico so I had to choose something else - I went with the lamb cubes which is the most delicious skewered meat you can imagine. My partner and dad chose the lamb parcels and the sirloin steak which were both judged to be excellent. Everything is reasonable in price for the area but it's still only somewhere I'd go for a treat! 9/10
One of my favourite eateries in Muswell Hill... great food, brilliant prices and lovely atmosphere.
A nice local restaurant with friendly staff. Always a pleasure to come here.
