I have been to the Oval lounge before and came back for the Lamb shank.. yum!!
Very quirky little place, laid-back, great for a lazy summer's lunch or dinner.
I live very close to the Oval Lounge but this was my first visit - I was not disappointed! I had the lamb shank and my friend had the stew - great pub-style food in a quaint lounge setting!
Went to Oval Lounge on Sat morning. Made a booking on Top Table for 10:30 - we arrived at 10:15 and the staff were all outside waiting for the manager with the key - I was told they weren't going to be open until at least 11am. They opened about 10mins later but we weren't able to get coffees for at least another 30mins and and we got our breakfast close to noon. Whilst the staff were nice enough they were totally unapologetic about their lateness which would've been appreciated.
The Oval Lounge, London - been here quite a few times already, however today wasn't up to their usual excellent standard. To be fair they were extremely busy, but the food was slow to arrive and most of it was over cooked. Disappointing, but won't put me off returning in the future. Would be nice if they'd consider freshening up the menu though...
