About Langtry's
Langtry’s Restaurant recently opened its doors in Knightsbridge and offers British dishes with unique and inventive flavour combinations. Langtry’s has a wonderful history, having once formed part of the home of the famous actress, Lillie Langtry, who lived at the property in the 1890s. The décor has been subtly modernised to enhance the historic grandeur of this elegant and sophisticated dining room. Featuring high sculptured ceilings, a magnificent Carrera marble Louis XIV fireplace, oversize mirrors and an original glass chandelier, Langtry’s has romantic charm.
Toptable says about Langtry's
Langtry's Restaurant is absolutely steeped in London history. Once part of the home of society temptress and stage actress Lillie Langtry, this unique restaurant delivers an intriguing mix of old-style listed London glamour and modern romantic charm. Head Chef Robert Lyons has reinvented a beautifully British menu to match. Start with a traditional beef tea or the signature starter of prawn cocktail, made modern with the addition of prawn tempura and marie rose ice cream. Comfort food rounds out the mains, with toad in the hole, crackling and Romney Marsh lamb all making appearances. Desserts continue the theme, and include a trio of blancmange. Wine lovers are also well catered for, with a different region receiving a special focus on the wine list each month.

Excellent offer that I have now enjoyed on several occasions. Annoying that the waiters will not allow a jug of water on the table and have to be asked over and over again to top up water glasses but other than that a very good place to have a girly lunch - or a family lunch or any lunch - if you like champagne :)
Langtry's champagne offer is outstanding value. It's a quiet, relaxing vibe - nice for a Sunday lunch with newspapers or to go in a large group. Excellent service and the champagne does keep flowing!
The food at Langtry's was lovely, the lamb was delicious. However I did feel that the special offer of 'unlimited wine' was very misleading. Basically, it was free until we finished our food. The waiter was slow filling our glasses when we were eating so no bottles were left on the table and on the whole the special offer felt like a scam. When we paid for our bill, and got up to leave we found our coats dumped on a chair as if they were desperate for us to go! Food great, but won't be back.
A party of eight of us visited Langtry's for a celebratory meal on a Saturday evening. The evening started off a little shaky, we were shown to our table and our coats were not taken from us and we had to ask. However after this the service greatly improved! We opted for the 3 courses and unlimited wine for £35= excellent value! The waiter did not skimp on the wine, topping up glasses constantly. The food was brilliant, fresh, tasty and scrummy! Will definitely return!
Langtry's Unlimited Champagne Lunch, is a lovely way to spend time with friends. We were slightly bemused this time that our table had been moved back 30mins without us being informed, but it was no problem. Food and service are good.
