Shikara is nice Indian restaurant just north of Oxford Circus, but far enough away to avoid the hustle and bustle of Oxford Street. We went for lunch. The quality of the food was pretty good - I had Murg Dhansak and it was very nice - just enough spice and sweetness, as a good dhansak should be. The service was a little slow for lunchtime, but courteous and friendly enough.

I'm a big fan of Shikara. They also so a reasonably priced take out. Their Chicken Tikka Marsala is very good - and not too creamy - which I really like!
