Sheba Restaurant
About Sheba Restaurant
A no nonsense Brick Lane curry house, Sheba was the setting of the Peter Kay commercial for John Smiths. It’s not difficult to see why the producers chose this restaurant out of so many. Opened in 1972, it has long been the epitome of the family run Indian restaurant. Having undergone several improvements over the years, Sheba is contemporary and smart, decorated in a fiery red with Bollywood movies playing on the big screen. A host of awards and accolades are proof of Sheba’s ability to produce what is widely accepted to be the best Indian, Bangladeshi and Pakistani cuisine on Brick Lane, with connoisseurs returning time and again to sample fine vegetarian, meat and indeed seafood dishes. One of the longest standing restaurants in the area, Sheba is about much more than just the lamb bhuna.

A friend was visiting from the states and when I suggested going for a curry he was pleased. And we weren't disappointed - tasty food, relaxed surroundings. I will be back when I get another opportunity.
The food was very nice but I think the restaurant can do with I slight update
Lovely place, lovely food and attentive service make this a winning restaurant. Will be back.
Excellent food, great service. no hassle from the staff, very clean. Only slight is that we were disturbed by the overly loud dining parties sat behind, and next to us who didn't have any consideration for other diners, even though it was still relatively early on in the evening.
Sheba Brick Lane, good service, friendly staff and food was good value.I enjoyed the lunchtime special of the day
