Hidden between St Pancras and Regent’s Canal, this two-acre park offers a green retreat in the heart of the city. Formerly home to an iron works and a rubbish tip, it’s now London Wildlife Trust’s most urban nature reserve featuring meadows, woodland, a pond, birds, butterflies and amphibians. There’s an excellent education programme too.
