The German Gymnasium
About The German Gymnasium
The Gymnasium has an incredible history. The Gymnasium was actually the home of the German Gymnasium Society, a sporting association established in London in 1861, and it was arguably the first purpose-built gymnasium in Britain. The venue echoes the very heart of the Channel Tunnel Rail Link - understanding the glory of the past, whilst designing the rail of the future. All of this makes the gallery at the Gymnasium one of the most unusual and high profile events spaces in London and the UK.
