The city cafe at the mint hotel in Westminster was friendly and food was good for most of us, however very limited for health conscious/ vegetarians. One of our party was left with just a potato when we were informed (late) that they had run out of ingredients...

City Cafe, London Had a business lunch there yesterday, having been several times before. Excellent food and service, as well as quiet relaxing ambience in modern, well-decorated retaurant. But far more expensive for lunch than the last time I was there some months ago. It used to be the best value for money near Victoria, but no so sure now! George Irvin, Brighton

At City Cafe Westminster, we were politely welcomed and asked if we had eaten there before, They explained the menus and offered help if we needed it. The day menu, which was cheaper, proved excellent value, although we had to give the order three times to a friendly waitress for whom English was clearly still a little difficult. All the food was both well cooked and well presented, and the was a minimum of fuss. All in all, a very positive experience.

City Cafe in the Mint Hotel Westminster is a relaxed venue for lunch or dinner - though food and service are certainly professional and serious. There are various good-value fixed price options and I have no hesitation in recommending. Shall certainly return.

City Cafe (at the Mint Hotel), Westminster Nice ambience, very friendly and efficient staff. Had the rib-eye and it was in the top 10 of steaks I've had in my life. The bearnaise was perfect. It came with a protobello mushroom with a savory onion topping was also delicious. The handcut chips were undercooked and rather soggy. My dinner companion had the pork belly which was moist, crispy on the outside, and well seasoned, the veggie sides were also wonderful. Too full for desert!
