Toptable says about Wright Brothers Oyster and Porter House

Borough Market has increasingly become London's favourite foodie haven. And after filling your Cath Kidston shopping basket with artisan loaves and seasonal leeks you'll probably need some refreshment. Wright Brothers couldn't be further away from the greasy spoons usually associated with markets. This Oyster and Porter House grew out of a company supplying wholesale oysters so rest assured they really know their stuff. Sitting on barrels outdoors or on a high stool inside the classically decorated dining room you'll be able to enjoy, not only the buzz and bustle of the market atmosphere, but truly amazing seafood freshly shucked in front of you. It's not only the oysters which will impress - daily specials from scallops to grilled prawns are consistently brilliant.

Wright Brothers Oyster and Porter House was a total revelation - we loved it, the food was fabulous, wine fantastic and we were able to order more from any section of the menu at any time - very flexible. To think we were nervous about going! We will definitely go again!!

We liked the resto, the food was great and service as well. The only negative thing would be that we all four came to eat mussels and fries but unfortunately they only do mussels and have never done fries! What a dissapointment.

if you are looking for a quiet dinner don't come here but that doesn't mean that the atmosphere isn't great. it's bustling and feels a good victorian muck-in. there is no pressure to eat – go in for a glass of wine and oyster or a banquet. I highly recommend.

On Valentines Day, I arranged for my boyfriend and I to go to the Wright Brothers Oyster and Porter House, and we had an amazing time! The atmosphere whilst busy and quite relaxed was still very romantic. They have an excellent selection of oysters and champagne, although I particularly enjoyed the scallops with chickpeas and lentils too. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for somewhere a little different to go with their partner. It was definitely a winner for us!
