I visited the Spencer Arms on a Friday evening for dinner. The food was great; I had the welsh rarebit followed by fish and chips. Both were absolutely delicious. The fish was lightly battered and crispy and the chunky chips were perfect. Portion sizes were great. My only complaint would be the slight lack in service, we weren't in a rush so it didn't bother us too much but it was a little irritating to have to ask for everything, drinks, our order to be taken etc.
The Spencer arms is a lovely place to send an evening, a iittle out from the high street but that is the plus point, it has a common opposite so you feel like you are away fro it all, their food is not what you would expect for a pub wither - delicious dishes packed with flavour, a little pricey but well worth it - go and see for yourself!

The Spencer Arms, Putney. Very nice Sunday roast. Good amount of food. Average service. Don't sit too close to the toilets!
As usual the Spencer Arms near Putney Common was excellent. Whilst busy, the Sunday roasts were fantastic and the service wasn't too quick or slow - just right. My mother-in-law is Vegetarian and commented on how good it was to have so many options, may places just have 1 or 2 dishes she can eat.
