The Ark
About The Ark
A long time Kensington institution, The Ark serves up modern Italian cuisine. Although the interior space is limited, clever design has made the dining area seem a lot larger with decent sized tables and comfortable seating. The bijou decked area to the rear of the restaurant makes a delightful spot for al fresco eating. Expect more than competent cooking with top quality ingredients and beautiful presentation. We love the fresh Cornish crabmeat bruschetta to start, followed by the Galloway fillet steak with roast cherry tomatoes and potato rosti. If you still have room try the profiteroles with warm chocolate sauce. Pasta, bread and ice cream are all made in house and white truffles are a regular menu feature in the autumn.

Cozy and nice restaurant. Food could not be better as well as the service. We were a group celebrating a B/day and everybody ended very happy and satisfied. Indeed the place is really nice! Totally recommended.
Tremendous place. Super food at only a medium price - therefore excellent value. Very convivial team.
The food, service and ambience were excellent and had no worries paying the 12.5% tip, however, the cover charge for the bread brought but not requested was disappointing - felt a bit taken advantage of.
This is a good place togo if you want to have a quiet meal with good food and privacy. The waiters were great and a very good service, the food for 11 people as there were alot of us, was fantastic something that tends togo down when you are a large goroup but it did not and recommended.
We used to come here every couple of weeks when lived nearby and was always reliable and very good. this first visit for nearly a year was disappointing - not sure if change of management or chef or both but was underwhelming and not as good as we remembered. hopefully just an off night but something to bear in mind, also out of principle object to the cover charge added to bill for bringing bread to table when never say you have to pay for it - its a small amount but these things really annoy m
