I arrived a little late and very cold (it was -4 outside) and received a warm welcome, followed by a beautiful chili dosa, which helped to restore the heat to my body! paper thin dossa, delicate spicing. It was lovely, my friend's equally so. 2 dosas and 2 glasses of wine (these were just under £5 each) came to £26. Will definately visit again.

Not been to Woodlands, Panton Street, for some time. Took friend for for treat. While he probably felt indulged, having the king size thali, I felt let down. Woodlands always used to be a good value restaurant with tasty food that you could rely on. Now prices have escalated well beyond the reasonable, and although the vegetable dishes are nicely presented they are all swathed in the same sort of textureless creamy sauce. I will have to think twice about going back, unless it's for a dosa.

I'm not vegetarian, but this was some of the best Indian food I've eaten. The panir Marsala was outstanding. Can't wait to return.

Delicious food, and, although roasting hot inside the restaurant, overall a lovely meal. Great dosas, and the thali dinners were fab.
