Skinkers
About Skinkers
The atmospheric Skinkers on London’s Tooley Street is one of the acclaimed Davy’s chain of wine bars and restaurants. Located right next to the London Dungeon, close to London Bridge tube station, this cosy spot, which is set within three railway arches, is ideal for a relaxing lunch or dinner with a real British flavour and is therefore very popular with visitors to the city as well as with locals from nearby offices. The menu here at Skinkers, named after the drawer of wine from its cask, is entirely British, featuring a number of old favourite dishes. Open from the early hours Skinkers serves an excellent breakfast and then large meals, sharing platters and snacks throughout the day, all made using the freshest possible seasonal ingredients. Of course the real Skinkers selling point is the wine list, selected from the best the world of grapes has to offer, including bottles from the old and new world alike with a special focus on clarets and burgundies and with vintage ports decanted daily.

great venue, lovely food. We were kept waiting to place an order when we arrived but staff offered us free desserts to make up for it before we mentioned it - so well done! very good.
Had lunch at Skinkers, Tooley Street, London and was very impressed with this restaurant. The service from the moment we walked in the door was excellent. The staff were very polite, friendly and efficient without being too overpowering. We were seated in what is called 'The Office' which added a unique experience to our dining. We were only having a light lunch so just had a main course which was very nice. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and hope to return soon myself.
Skinkers was great for an evening after shopping with friends. We had a separate room for the five of us. The service was good and attentive and the food was well presented with not too generous portions, which is a blessing these days when you consider the amount often offered in pubs. Overall a pleasant experience even though prices are a little high.
Old style boozer with tons of character and good food. Fish and chips were excellent. Service was a bit slow but the place was very busy indeed.
Skinkers was the perfect venue for us as it is very close to London Bridge Station and as it was late, nearly 9.45 transport home for 3 separate destination was vital. The food and service were both excellent and as described on the menu. The place was bussing in the bar area and food was still available for bar food and we were still not the last diners. The table napkins were cloth, the seats a little hard and the loos were clean and had nice soaps and hand cream.
