Bistro Fifteen

About Bistro Fifteen

Tucked away inside the Pelham Hotel in South Kensington, Bistro Fifteen is a chichi little restaurant with a sloaney twist that caters to London's posh 'n' priviliged posse. Crammed with art auctioneers, moneyed yummy mummies and Old Etonians, Bistro Fifteen is a superb spot for breakfast, lunch and dinner with a side order of people watching. Decorated with bright jewel-coloured seats, polished wooden floors and Regency striped walls, this restaurant is country-house-chic meets tasteful-townhouse, and favourite dishes include the roast saddle of rabbit with black pudding mousse, carrots Vichy and wild garlic mash; the grilled wild Scottish halibut with shallot and parsley cream and roasted sweet potatoes; and the pistachio panna cotta with lavender sorbet.

Very nice restaurant and good service but tbh not what we had envisaged - thought it was going to be an atmospheric, lively bistro but turned out to be a quiet, up market restaurant and expensive in the end. Food was very good but some of the party had steaks that looked a bit dried out. Pork Belly was delicious.

Bistro Fifteen in Kensington is a pleasant basement bistro with an interesting menu, conveniently situated for museums and the Royal Albert Hall. The service was good and the food well prepared. The afternoon tea on the neighbouring table looked superb!

Decent enough meal for a lunch time though i was initially greeted by a rather rude woman who, on my entry to the restaurant looked at me and said "yes?". After i explained i was there to dine she said "oh" and led me to a table. Altogether the food was ok however.

Very homebody looking cosy restaurant in boutique hotel with bookcase and nice staff. The meal was worthy of price for set up lunch, with friendly, but very chatty waiter. You don't wait too long for meals, the soup was good and hot enough, chicken main course was smaller than I expected, but tasteful, good mix with lentils, very nice. They have nice deserts as well, only expensive drinks like water and coffee, typical for this swanky area, which adds more to you bill, but it's beautiful place.
