Toptable says about Chez Gerard - Victoria

Adjacent to the mainline Victoria station, within easy reach of London's sights and sounds, is the historic Grosvenor Hotel, home to an unusually British branch of Chez Gerard. Wood panelled and featuring huge arched windows and an imposing fireplace, with the look of an old fashioned private members club, the vibe is relaxed and welcoming – a place to relax and unwind after a hectic day in one of the world's most exciting cities. Add to that a gorgeous menu of classic French dishes and more imaginative international inspired additions too plus moreish desserts and a good, varied wine list and you know you're in for a treat.

yet another great meal. Food was very good and the service,by thomas our waiter was excellent. The more we use this restaurant the better it seems, although they were very quiet on this occassion. As on every other occassion i wish they would advertise their special price menu as this is such good value and other diners have said they wish they had known about it before they had ordered.

Chez Gerard at Victoria is part of a chain of better restaurants serving good food at reasonable prices with the prix fixe menu being good value if there is something you want to eat on it, the only drawback being that it can be limited if you don't eat meat, and doesn't change very often. The food our party had was good but the service was very slow, surprising considering the restaurant was relatively empty. Having said that, we enjoyed our meal, but not the wait.

Chez Gerard (Victoria Stn) has proved to be an excellent pre-theatre restaurant on numerous occassions. Excellent and fast service, food always very good yet you can relax in a formal dinning room and don't feel at all rushed.

Chez Gerard Grosvenor Hotel is easy, efficient, and always delivers on quality. Defnitely a place for a business lunch or similar. Nothing spectacular, but good french food - overall, a professional outfit.

Service a bit poor as waitress got my order wrong and served me peppercorn sauce instead of bernaise with my steak, but was so hungry that I didn't want to return it. Steak fabulously cooked though. My friend also was avoiding carbs and the waitress didn't seem to understand very well as her english knowledge wasn't very good hence the cockups.
