The Fellow in Kings Cross is a great find. It's a moderately noisy pub but not too shouty, reasonably priced and has a very welcoming atmosphere. Not many amazing beers on tap but the Doom Bar is decent. The food is the highlight here, probably up there with the best Gnocchi I've ever had, helped by the generous drizzling of truffle oil which made the chestnut mushrooms taste amazing. The cod dish was also excellent but could've done with a tad more hollandaise.
I've been to the Fellow in Kings Cross several times now. The food is really good - this time I had the onglet steak which was fantastic - best steak I've had in ages. The menu is fairly short but changes alot so its easy to go often. The service is professional and the atmosphere is very buzzy. It is a bit loud - so it isn't somewhere for a quiet evening (but it is a pub !) - I always go in a group and we always enjoy it. The private room is great too although we were in the main pub this time.
Booked here for a party of 4, one of whom had been a few times. It came up trumps again. Great location (just behind Kings Cross tube) so ideal for several tube journeys. We concentrated on starters and mains. Large portions, but not at the expense of taste. Buzzy, noisy night, in the run up to Xmas - but we got a table to the side of the melee and made the most of it. Would definitely go again!
We went as a large group for our meal at The Fellow in London and found the service exceptional, drinks reasonably priced, and food to a good standard.
