Toptable says about Rockwell
Located on the south side of Trafalgar Square, Rockwell Bar and Restaurant is a stylish haven, worlds away from the bustling streets of the West End. Plush leather armchairs placed casually around generously spaced black lacquer tables makes this a truly glamorous venue, ideal for a romantic meal or dinner with friends. Chef Stirling Webb uses seasonal produce to create inspired menus that feature signature dishes like pork belly with a pumpkin mash and Calvados jus; open lasagne with goats cheese, aubergine and tomatoes; and the white chocolate mousse with bay leaf and cardamom. No meal is complete without a visit to the bar, boasting great views and one of the best collections of bourbon outside Kentucky.

We had trouble finding the Rockwell Bar and Restaurant, the address says Spring Gardens but is actually on corner of Cockspur St and Spring Gardens - once we found it we loved it even with no view (it's downstairs). As the other reviews say, really is a shame that the restaurant is so empty. We were there 6.30pm for a pre-show dinner and it was just us, though the bar upstairs was quite full. He had the medium-rare sirloin steak, perfectly done, and I had the chicken grilled, simply delicious.
The Rockwell Bar and Restaurant was an excellent venue for a group outing especially with the 50% offer. I would recommend it highly.
Delicious food especially the seared tuna starter and good range of wines by the glass. Waiter was excellent. Bread could have been better. Main issue is although the setting is so central there were only 2 other tables all evening - what are they doing wrong?!
The bar was buzzing, but the restaurant was quiet, which may be a sign of the times but was a pity. The service was excellent and the quality of food good. With the toptable deal - good value for the quality - and even with the deal prices are acceptable for quality and location.
I took my mum to the Rockwell bar and restaurant. My open lasagne was delicious (but unfortunately the only vegetarian option) and she loved her schnitzel! Service was amazing
