About Queen's Gallery

The Queen’s Gallery at Buckingham Palace is a permanent space dedicated to changing exhibitions of items from the Royal Collection, the wide-ranging collection of art and treasures held in trust by The Queen for the Nation.

Current exhibition:

The Heart of the Great Alone: Scott, Shackleton & Antarctic Photography - Until 15 April 2012

This exhibition of remarkable Antarctic photography by George Herbert Ponting and Frank Hurley marks the 100th anniversary of Captain Scott’s ill-fated journey to the South Pole. Both collections of photographs were presented to King George V and are today part of the Royal Photograph Collection.

Forthcoming exhibition:

Leonardo da Vinci: Anatomist - 4 May – 7 October 2012

Comprising more than 90 sheets of Leonardo’s studies of the human body, this is the largest ever exhibition of the artist’s anatomical work.
