Feel the heat of the Moroccan desert at Couscous Darna -- the fire of the people, the warmth of the hues and the passion in the cooking. Fittings and ambiance are imported from Morocco, creating an authentic outpost of North Africa in the heart of South Kensington. You’ll be surrounded by ochre walls, Berber pottery and pierced wooden screens while relaxing on chairs upholstered in Berber script. Bring a friend and start the meal with the kemla salad terre-mer, including a very good aubergine zaalouk, then follow with one of the eight tagines or Darna’s signature couscous with lamb, chicken, and merguez sausages. The wine list has a unique list of Moroccan beers, wines and cocktails to explore. Don’t miss the shisha pipe. Belly dancers at the weekend.

Booked for pre Royal Albert Hall meal. We all had starters - the house soup was lovely. For mains we all had tagines which were obviously slow cooked as the meat was very tender. We took advantage of the 50% off food offer, so we really got value for money. The restaurant is very North African in appearance with very attentive staff. All in all a very good experience.
Food was excellent and potions were very good. It was surprisingly expensive though. Especially the drinks, I don't think I would go unless I had the 50% off!!
This restaurant has a lovely ambience. The decor is warm and welcoming and the tables and chairs roomy and comfortable. Service is good and the food is lovely. I would definitely come again!
Good food, venue had no heating, so was very cold. Great value. Will return.
Couscous Darna has very tasty and authentic North African food and is very good value in the not inexpensive area of Soth Kensington. We both enjoyed our starters and main courses and will be pleased to return another day.
