Melur restaurant is a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of Edgware Road in London, near Paddington station. The dining room at Melur – which is always filled with noodle fans and lovers of hearty home-style Malaysian cooking – is run by former barrister Sam Wong and her French husband Sebastien. Melur is a great spot for group dining, business lunches and functions, and the modern design and efficient staff give the restaurant a relaxed atmosphere. Inspired by the delicious street food of Malaysia and her own mother’s cooking, Wong has created an exciting menu which includes favourites such as the Nasi Goreng Nonya, the Singapore Laksa, and the Goreng Pisang for dessert.

Melur, Edgware Road is a hidden gem located in the basement. The food was surprisingly delicious at such low prices. The waiter(ess) were friendly, service was a bit slow even though it was quiet on a Saturday night. One of the toilets was out of order. However, would definately recommend.

Friendly welcome, good advice on menu choices and plenty of (very) good food. I have spent twice as much in other restaurants and gone away less happy!

Melur on edgware road, London is a comfortable and inexpensive experience for all. Entrance is small and perhaps a bit off-putting but it leads down into surprisingly spacious room. Malaysian food is interesting but hasn't the individual character that Thai possesses.

Went to Melur, Edgeware Road last friday afternoon. the food was wonderful and the waiter was very funny which was a pleasant surprise. Would definately recommend the food and place for affordable and tasty food.
