Fitzroy Dolls
About Fitzroy Dolls
The delightfully-named Fitzroy Dolls is the belle of the dining ball at Hotel Russell, a magnificent terracotta Grade 2 listed building close to Covent Garden. A predominance of marble and natural light lend a fresh, airy feel to this traditional dining experience. Grand pillars lead the eye to the room’s focal point; a grand Victorian marble fireplace. A generous menu features an eclectic selection of dishes. You might start with carpaccio of beef showered in pecorino shavings, then move on to a main course of seared yellow fin tuna with pickled vegetable shavings and tender squid noodles. To finish, may we recommend a baked chocolate brownie with marmalade ice cream. Smartly-dressed staff provide a consistently friendly, chatty service. There is a wide selection of cocktails.

Fitzroy Dolls, Russell Square, London, part of Russell Hotel nice restaurant. Was dining alone, but all staff made me feel comfortable, finding a very pleasant table by the window, and they were busy, they could have shoved me in a corner. Staff were attentive without being intrusive, and very friendly. Food was good, although quite expensive for what it was, and not a tremendous amount of choice. Excellent wine list. Would be happy to eat there again
A very impressive dining room. Good food and attentive service.
The restaurant in the Russell Hotel is beautiful with marble pillars and wonderful decor. This could be a top restaurant. However, the menu is confusing because it includes a set menu and an a la carte menu as well and it is not as clear as it might be what is what. A large glass of Rioja was expensive at over £9.00 and the helpings, while tasty and nicely presented, had an inadequate selection of vegetables. The service was pleasant but very average. Overall, a pleasant evening, but ...
this place is in the hotel in russell square and because of that is really great and does late seatings. fantastic venue if youre looking for something low key after friday night work drinks. they wont rush you out either. food was basic but good.
Firstly I didn't dine in the Fitzroy Dolls but the hotel dining room and I was the only person there. The food was OK but nothing special. Not worth the 8.7 I saw on toptable.
