Diners can enjoy laid-back dinners in the sleek and sophisticated dining room, or just drop in for drinks and charcuterie at the bar after a hard day of shopping on nearby Bond Street. Popular dishes include the braised beef in Barolo sauce; the classic vitello tonnato; and the deliciously fresh homemade pastas. (Don’t miss the lighter-than-air gnocchi!) The two-course set menu offers excellent value for money and the concise wine list includes some interesting options by the glass or carafe.

Enjoyed a good lunch - simple but well prepared food, lively ambiance and attentive service. I had the set menu for lunch which was excellent value. Food was over-salted for my liking, but perhaps just a personal preference. Would recommend for good value business lunch.
I love this place, but this time the manager that was there in the past wasn't there. For some reason this time round, it wasn't quite as good as usual. Very good tasty food, but just didn't have that extra 'something' that made it outstanding. Don't know if they are just starting to cut costs (you get charged for bread now, and no bottles of olive oil on the table any more) or whether this was a one off. One more try before I decide, I think.
I have dined at Trattoria Semplice in Woodstock Street several times and have never had a reason to complain. The food is excellent as is the service.
The menu at Bar Trattoria Semplice is simple ("semplice") but very tasty. You can feel that the ingredients are of good quality and fresh, and that the pasta is home-made. It is the second time we've been here and, although it is a bit on the pricey side (we paid £85 for 2 starters and 2 mains, + good wine), you are guaranteed to enjoy the food. Ask for the daily specials, they can be very inspiring!
