We booked thinking this was the hotel in the County Hall. The food was nice but wouldn't have been worth full price. They didn't have our booking but accepted us with the 50% offer without question. Was most definitely a hotel restaurant with very little atmosphere and a lot of empty tables. I asked for my tuna to be cooked medium but would have said it was more medium/well done.

Spectrum restaurant at the Park Plaza Hotel (Waterloo). This is a pleasant restaurant on the mezzanine level of the hotel lobby. The food was very enjoyable and the decor was very modern. Service was attentive without being pushy. With the TT 50% off deal, the meal was extremely cheap. This restaurant would be ideal for a meal before visiting the theatre, or if you are just stopping in town for a quick bite, but probably less relevant for an intimate meal or special occasion.

A tiny starter was made up for by a lovely main course. Well worth it with the TT offer!!

Spectrum is on a first floor balcony in a big poshish business hotel in a depresssing spot behind Waterloo. Diners sit under the business end of the bank of glass elevators. When we were there several other dinners were wearing conference name tags. When we went in there was terrible loud "you're simply the best" type music. Mercifully, the manager turned it down on request. Foor was excellent, waiters were friendly and efficient. TT 50% offer made it good value. Go again? No way.

Once we found it - it is not entirely obvious where it is - we had a lovely time! The ambience is clean and fresh. Th staff were very friendly and accomodating. When they found out that I was a coeliac they brought me out some gluten-free bread to start! Nice touch. And the food was excellent, although I had to send back my tuna steak initially as it was overcooked, when it came back out it was lovely - was definately worth it with the discount: a meal for two came to just £30!! Worth a visit!
