Antonio's Ristorante

About Antonio's Ristorante

Located on Upper Street in Islington, Antonio’s is a family-owned restaurant that has won the hearts of locals with its friendly service and authentic Italian food. Inside, it’s reminiscent of the cosy trattorias you discover on Italian holidays – complete with exposed brickwork, candlelit tables and walls lined with wine bottles. Antonio’s father is from Calabria so the menu is full of bold southern Italian flavours and delicious dishes like pappardelle with wild boar ragu; zuppa di pesce; and fillet steak with aubergines, parmesan and basil. Kids will love the spicy Diavola pizza, while grown-ups can enjoy the excellent Italian wine list. Whether it’s for lunch with friends, dinner with colleagues or a romantic meal for 2; Antonio’s never fails to impress.

Another incredible meal at Antonio's. The service is perfect and the food is really delicious and authentic with a wonderful extensive Italian wine list. You must try this fantastic restaurant if you haven't already!

Antonios ristorante is a traditional Italian restaurant tucked away at the rear of the main street in Islington. It is very convenient for the Almedia thatre and does a very good value pre-theatre menu. Service is always excellent and the food is well done without pretensions. We were pleasantly surprised to be offered a free dessert after the show and would recommend a visit.

Such a hidden gem! I have been there twice and each time has been a lovely experience. Talented chefs, delicious food, excellent waiting staff that know their stuff. The service is immpecable. Lovely romantic setting or great to go with friends or family as it has a lovely ambience. Go and tell all your friends.

This is the first time I'd been to Antonio's in Islington, and I was pleasantly surprised by this charming little restaurant. The atmosphere is cosy and relaxed and the staff made us feel very welcome and did not hurry us. No complaints about the quality - or quantities - of food.
