Toptable says about Sonny's

Barnes' favourite restaurant to be seen in, is white walled, airy and elegant with a constantly changing collection of modern art. Owned by Rebecca Mascarenhas and James Harris it is invariably full of affluent locals together with the odd thespian or two. Always buzzy in the evenings, Sunday lunch is also popular with the Barnes brigade who bring in their awfully polite offspring before perambulating round the pond.

What's cooking?

Red cabbage, glazed shallots, port jus. Daubeouf beef, grilled tongue, button onions, salsify and pearl barley. Rhubarb and almond tart.

This restaurant is right around the corner from my home and what a find! Fantastic meal and superb service; I dropped into conversation that I was allergic to wheat - all wait staff were made aware without my knowledge. 5 star food and service all the way!!!! We will be back again that is for sure.

Excellent food, as always. Sonn'y is my favourite restaurant in London, and I'm so lucky to have it just around the corner from me! The £13.50 2-course lunch menu is great value, and there is no stinting on the portion size.

It was our second visit to Sonny's and we were pleased to enjoy the high standard that it provides. It really is the perfect venue for a special occasion or an evening where you want to guarantee freshly prepared food, delicious wine and friendly and efficient service.

This time the waiter was very inexperienced. Let's hope it was a bad night and it will go back to normal.

Sonny's is well worth a visit and we will certainly be re booking very soon. Richard the manager expertly runs a great team and quickly asseses whether you welcome recommendations and we were very pleased with his wine selection for us. The food was nothing less than superb. My Partner had Oysters followed by the Duck. There isn't a massive selection for vegetarians but I have been assured that in the future that will change...but the Three cheese souffle was the best I have had.
