About Souk Bazaar
It must be those of us who are too young to hit the hippy trail have a secret hankering to get away from it all in a kaftan. However, instead of jumping on a ferry from Southern Spain and heading for North Africa, we do it in our lunch hours and head for the nearest North African restaurant. Souk is very much like stepping into Morocco - all low seating, cushions, low lighting and vibrant colours. Every Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening they lay on belly dancing, and there is a dj after 11pm every night except Sunday and Monday. Very Moorish if you are looking for a cheerful, cheap venue in the centre of town.

Souk bazaar is a great find on Litchfield street london. We went early and we were the only ones in the place which was fine as it felt like we had a private room. We choose a feast for two, olives and warm pita bread first then a mixed platter of starters which where all fab, then a selections of mains and cous cous which again all tasted amazing. We finished with a selection of pastries and mint tea. Everything was spot on and we will go back TRY!

Souk Bazaar - London We had the royal platter to start. The Zanouk was really tasty, however I have had better babaganoush. For mains my husband had the Lamb tagine with apricots and prunes and gave it a thumbs up. I opted for the vegetarian moussaka, The portion size was much smaller than expected and again the flavours could have been better. Overall it was a good meal with excellent service.

We explained that we were off to the theatre and needed rapid service, this they did and we were out on time. the food was rather cold, and the meet from the set menu fatty but very tasty
