About St Michael's Church Cornhill

A church built by Sir Christopher Wren in 1672. Tower by Nicholas Hawksmoor (1722). Restored by Sir George Gilbert Scott in 1870. Famous all over the world for its long-standing musical tradition, dating back several centuries, which continues to this day.

St Michael's Church Cornhill Facilities

Opening Times Sunday, 11.00 am Choral Eucharist and Sermon. The congregation is invited to stay afterwards for a glass of wine at the back of the church.
Monday, 1.00 pm Organ Recital (except for Bank Holidays). This series of recitals was started by Harold Darke in 1916.
Wednesday, 1.10 pm Holy Communion (said) (lasts twenty-five minutes), with two minute sermon on fundamental Christian teaching.
Friday, 1.10 pm Holy Communion (said).
