Southbank Tandoori

About Southbank Tandoori

For the last twenty years the Southbank Tandoori has provided high quality Indian restaurant dining to London’s residents, workers and visitors. It’s quite a feat to last such a long time in any town, but to be so consistently popular in the heart of the capital’s cultural quarter really does speak volumes about this celebrated eatery. On The Cut, easily reached from Southwark and Waterloo alike and within moments of the theatres, concert halls, galleries and sights of the area that gives it it’s name, the Southbank Tandoori is the perfect pre-theatre, post-sightseeing or indeed business lunch restaurant. The surroundings of the dining room are subtle and understated, much like the personable and professional service provided by highly trained staff. The Southbank Tandoori’s food is prepared by skilled award-winning chefs who use quality ingredients in favourite Indian dishes, all of them served in traditional style. Prices are extraordinarily reasonable, the menu representing some of the best value for money on the Thames.

Southbank Tandoori. Good run of the mill curry house.

I had a great meal here, recommend the Chicken Tikka Dansak which was delicious. The rest of the food was great as well and service was very good. The restaurant was very busy and the tables were very close together so it may not be great if you want some privacy but it didn't bother me as the food was very good.

A very good location opposite Young Vic and 2 minutes from Old Vic. Good tandoori and main curry and rice came in good sized portions. wouldn't hesitate to come again when in this part of town.
