This was my first visit to Beach Blanket Babylon Notting Hill and I really enjoyed the ambience . Good service and very good food as well!
Just had dinner here on Saturday night. I had already made a booking before reading some of the reviews here. After some of the ones that panned the place, I got a little nervous, because I went with friends from out of town. The place was absolutely packed and the atmosphere was really good. And in the end the food was actually really tasty and pretty as well. We ended up having an absolutely great evening, and would definitely go again.
We had the 50% off TopTable menu with four options for each - starter / main / desert. The goat's cheese starter was fab, the red chicken curry main however wasn't a curry at all and had no spice / flavour to it - disappointing. The apple tarte desert was good. The food was average - I've been before and had better. Still you go to BBB for the gorgeous surrounds and good-looking staff really, eating is secondary. It's a lovely "bling" place to dine with fab cocktails. I'd still go back!

Beach Blanket Babylon, as crazy as the San Franciscos BBB show and truly enjoyable.The decor is over the top, combination of Gaudi inspired gotic section, versus cozy french chateau corners with fireplaces, trendy crowd, fun coctails.My staple on a quirky side of Notting Hill.All dishes were simply delicious, my chicken curry was so tasty, corn fed chicken makes such a difference.Very good wine list.Bit pricey but then you get what you paid for - Superb food and tons of atmosphere,well done !
