Toptable says about Beach Blanket Babylon

Beach Blanket Babylon, or BBB as it's affectionately known, is a seriously stylish restaurant and bar set in an old Georgian House in the heart of Notting Hill. The interior is a decadent blend of French chateau and baroque glamour with a boho twist - perfect for intimate dinners or full-on feasts with friends and colleagues. The restaurant is divided into unique spaces like the Gallery, the Crypt and the Scullery, which are connected by tunnels and walkways. Beach Blanket Babylon offers a seasonal modern European menu which features dishes like Argentinean fillet of beef; pan-roast sea bream with baby vegetables; and linguini with seafood, garlic, chilli and parsley. For pre-dinner drinks, the beautiful bar offers fine wines, champagne and glamorous cocktails.

The crab linguine at Beach Blanket Babylon was disappointing but my friends' choices looked nicer. Great decor which made the girly lunch. Good service.

No thanks to my Top Table reservation which had been confirmed by Top Table, when we got to BBB, there was no booking for me. So, it was very nice of BBB to give me a table, they told me this happens all the time with Top Table. I am not impressed. However they gave us a good table anyhow, feeling sorry for me, and the food and service was good. The music was a little loud. But the overall ambience was lovely.

Booked Beach Blanket Babylon for an anniversary meal. We had a table in a quiet corner with a roaring fire, perfect! Food was well cooked with an interesting menu and a great cocktail and wine list. The restaurant is a labyrinth, with lots of intimate nooks and crannies and larger table areas over several floors and trancey music piped discretely. Highly recommended, we'll be back!

Dined at Beach Blanket Babylon last night. Nicely greeted and quickly shown to out table down in the bottom level of the restaurant. Happily the loud American couple who incessantly chatted on the mobiles to friends across the pond quickly left. Super attentive service. Food all excellent - both salmon pancakes for starters and then Polenta and Sea Bass as mains. 2 glasses of house champagne each and coffee, the bill was £114 - very reasonable. Place full of yanks - but maybe reflects taste!

Beach Blanket Babylon is worth a visit for the decor and ambience alone. The cocktails are also very good and food is what you'd expect for those prices. The menu is not big but we had no trouble choosing something to eat. I would definitely go again.
