From the makers of the Beach Blanket Babylon comes the Las Vegas-style, beautiful-as-you-like bar and restaurant in Exmouth Market. At ground floor level top dollar American food, served from an open kitchen, is modelled on the type of diner the Sex and the City quartet would perch in if they ate burgers. Caesar salad, 10oz sirloin steak, grills, fries… everything tastes as gorgeous as it looks. A crustacean bar adds extra culinary kudos. French-brasserie style mirrors maximise space and allow you to have a good gander at the Very Fit Person a few tables down without embarrassing them. Or yourself. Downstairs, vaulted cellar nooks warmed by red lighting and lined with mega-comfy leather banquettes make for one special bar. Dress code: glamourpuss.

Brilliant burgers and good cocktails made for an extremely quaint evening. Barman had an extremely dodgy barnet...
We went to Dollar on a Saturday night. The ambience was nice although the volume of the music was probably a couple of notches higher than I would have chosen. We had Dollar's trademark burgers with a couple of sides and the food was good, as were the cocktails, although my burger was warm rather than piping hot. My only criticism would be that the staff were a little slow to take our order and the food came a little bit too quickly.
I visited Dollar on a friday night, we didn't have a reservation but the host found us a table promply and with a smile, not always the way in London. The atmosphere was buzzy and smell of grilled meat in the air, good start ! Our waitress was from the States she took really good care of us and recommended that we try the Caralina Shrimp and the Truffle Burger which we did. Food was very impressive, definately top 3 burgers of all time for me. We had a really good time & will definately be back.
Had the best burger i've ever had in London. Enough said.
The steaks at Dollar Grills & Martinis in Clerkenwell, London, were outstanding: great cuts brilliantly cooked. Unfortunately the service was a less than great as, although the staff were very polite they were rarely on hand. We weren't offered new drinks when we'd finished the ones we had, nor dessert or coffee at the end of the meal, and ended up leaving after just having a (very nice) main course. The Martini bar downstairs has a fantastic range of cocktails and much better service.
