Barbican Tandoori

About Barbican Tandoori

Traditional tandoori dining in unpretentious surroundings is the order of the day at London’s Barbican Tandoori, an Indian restaurant in the most centrally convenient of locations. With more than twenty years of trading behind it, Barbican Tandoori has perfected the combination of good food and good service, providing its busy City-centric guests – tourists, shoppers, businessmen and women alike – with the dining experience to suit their needs, whatever those needs might be. A huge menu including, of course, plenty of tandoori grills as well as curries galore, both old favourites (which are given their very own section) and imaginative specialties and, unusually for an Indian kitchen, duck dishes is available here at the Barbican Tandoori. There really is something for everybody, even a few English choices thrown in for good measure, all at very reasonable prices. Who can argue with a restaurant name checked as ‘London’s best Indian’ by several internet reviewing diners?

Had a good lunch at Barbican Tandoori. Nice food, friendly waiters, big portions. Will go back.

Group of four with the 50% off food offer The food was very good, with a varied menu. Came to £15 each for four starters, four mains, three rices, two naan, chapati, three veg side dishes and three beers. Service was fine, although our waiter seemed intent on upselling more food and drinks to us which was a bit over the top, but is a minor point in the grand scheme of thing. I'd add this to our list of 'regular' Indian restaurants based on the food and menu even at full price.

Good Traditional Indian Food and great value for money for the London area. The special offer helps this too. Pleasant surroundings with nice service

food was fairly standard Indian fare but I did notice it was quite a bit less oily than many places I've been. Also with the 50% off offer very good value. Very dark downstairs but we sat upstairs by the window. Service quite friendly and attentive. We will probably order delivery from them at lunchtimes.
