Situated where Belgravia meets Knightsbridge, Amaya is an Indian Grill with a theatrical open kitchen. It has set the trend for a new wave Indian Cuisine. Serves great seafood dishes, a large range of meats and vegetables. Has a dramatic salad bar. The elegant bar serves exotic cocktails and mocktails. Opened October 2004. Nominated as the Best Restaurant in London at the London Restaurant Awards in early 2005. Was Awarded a Michelin Star in the Guide for 2006 which it still retains. Great for lunch or dinner. We had lunch in Amaya, London and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The staff were very attentive, the food beautifully cooked and perfectly spiced. I strongly recommend trying it!

Amaya was a good dinning option. The lunch tasting platter gave a good overview of the popular dishes on the menu. Worth a visit.

In London only a few restaurants open on "boxing day" (Dec 26), fortunatelly Amaya is one of them. I went there with my wife, son and daughter-in-law and were assigned a table close to the open kitchens, so we could see most of the work of the chefs. The food style is "modern indian", so they suggest to start with some little dishes (like the arab mezzé) and finish with a tradicional dish. Staff is konwlegeble and friendly, helpful in giving directions to right choices. We had a great tim
