Toptable says about Harvey Nichols Fifth Floor Restaurant, Cafe & Bar

While other eateries have fallen in and out of favour, the Fifth Floor Restaurant at Harvey Nichols has always been a favourite with London's fashionistas. At the heart of the Capital's most famous department store, it's an elegant space with soft lighting and white leather chairs - perfect for post-shopping refuels. Head Chef Jonas Karlsson specialises in modern European cuisine and has a passion for seasonal ingredients, which are showcased daily in his 'market menu'. Our favourite dishes include the whole roasted lemon sole nicoise and the tender beef fillet with girolle mushrooms and Madeira jus. The Fifth Floor Bar is ideal for a pre-dinner cocktail or two, but if you've craving something sweet the restaurant's sumptuous afternoon tea is not to be missed.

Fifth Floor always a winner for a girly lunch. Our Sunday roast was delicious but pud a bit disappointing as was the squid starter. But always good fun and the waiters attentive.

Very attentive and friendly staff, small portions of food served with lots of pomp but not as tasty as it could be

Very warm welcome, other than a confusion on the booking - stating I'd only booked for 2 (we were 3) and the top table confirmation was for 3!!

Food was great, staff were very attentive - seemed slightly rushed, but overall a great dinner and a very good deal!

Excellent value meal, the main course chicken with butternut squash risotto was fabulous. Delicious wine and excellent service and a celebrtiy spot! some vegetables with the leek tart would have been preferable to salad though.
