Addendum, Seething Lane 3N 4AX made it a pleasure to dine with friends from out of town.
What was meant to be a pleasant birthday meal at Addendum, EC3N 4AX turned out to be a disaster.The restaurant was cold and the food was poor. I ordered the pumpkin, sage and parmesan risotto which was not very good. I couldn't taste any pumpkin or sage, just rice and lots of parmesan which was overpowering. My boyfriend had the steak which wasn't bad but our starters didn't live up to expectation either. The waitress was lovely & provided a great service, despite the food being awful.
It was a pleasant evening, good service and great quality of food. Only complaint would be the deserts available.
addendum, seething lane - went for business breakfast meeting - very good service and good food. quiet enough to be able to talk easily. def. recommend if need a venue in Tower Hill Area.
We visited Addendum midweek early evening and the restaurant was very quiet. We ordered from the set menu which is small (just 3 choices per course) but we were happy with the choices offered. Starter was cured salmon and venison scotch egg, both excellent. Main was pumpkin risotto, and steak burger - whilst the risotto was delicious, it was very creamy (+ heavy) + therefore perhaps the portion size was too big. The burger was great. The wines + the service were fine. Would recommend it.
