Friendly welcoming staff and a nice setting; Addendum though more of a nice place for lunch rather than a place for dinner and their limited menu testifies this.Expensive at full price but good ok with the 50%.
Myself and my partner went to Addendum on Friday night. The restuarant is part of a hotel and it does have that vibe to it, but it was a nice enough place to wind down in at the end of a hectic week. The food was delicious and the portions a very good size. I'm not sure I would've been that impressed paying full price but the 50% top table deal made the price extremely reasonable. Only gripe the air con was up full blast & was very cold and the toilets were a fair trek away from the restaurant.
Went to Addendum for dinner to catch up with a friend on Fri. It is not as good as it used to be since they closed the main restuarant due to credit crunch. The menu seems less appealing and even the steak they used to do so well was a bit disappointing. We ordered medium rare but it was more like medium so not as tender. But the service is always good and attentive, without being overly so.
Addendum being part of a hotel doesnt have the ambience or the service of a restaurant. On the half price deal, it was good value for money.
Addendum was a good choice venue for catching up with an old friend - not too loud, good selection of food, wine and cocktails. The restaurant is part of a hotel but doesnt necessarily feel like a hotel restaurant. Service was smart and the food well presented. TT offer made the whole experience great value.
